CAN FD boards for automotive testing

For use in automotive test systems and HiL simulations, Peak-System GmbH (Dramstadt, Germany) has developed a number of CAN FD interfaces. The products will be shown at the upcoming Embedded World trade fair (hall 1, stand 483).

The CAN FD interface card for the M.2 connector will be available in versions with one, two and four channels. In addition, the company now has a version of its PCAN-miniPCIe with four channels; the same holds true for the PCAN-PCI Express FD. The PCAN-USB X6 (specific feature: opto isolator) will be available in versions with M12 circular connector and IP64 humidity protection. Thanks to this protection, the device with six CAN and CAN FD channels suits for test stands and HiL equipment in rough environments.

What’s more, the company also shows the battery-powered PCAN-Diag FD, a handheld diagnosis tool for CAN 2.0 and CAN FD bus systems that allows measurements at the physical and the protocol layers, offering an oscilloscope function along with the ability to test voltage and current. The CAN communication can be examined by the representation of CAN and CAN FD messages, bus load measurement, or the recording and a playback function for the CAN traffic.
