Embedded tools vendors form alliance
The six companies are: Somnium Technologies Ltd. (Chepstow, England), P&E Microcomputer Systems Inc. (Watertown Mass.), Percepio AB (Vasteras, Sweden), Runtime IO (Redwood City, Calif.), Solid Sands BV (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) and Beningo Embedded Group (Fenton, Michigan).
The six companies describe themselves as founder members indicating the possibility that other companies will be allowed to join the alliance.
Somnium is a supplier of embedded C/C++ development tools. P&E Micro provides equipment that provides in-circuit debug, trace, live data streaming, power measurement, RTOS awareness, GDB integration, stand-alone and gang programming.
Percepio’s Tracealyzer offers more than 25 linked views designed to illustrate different aspects of runtime behaviour and relationships and is available for several operating systems, including FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS, µC/OS, ThreadX, Keil RTX5, Linux and VxWorks.
Runtime provides cloud-based IoT device management for consumer, medical, commercial and industrial IoT applications. It is an advocate of the Apache MyNewt operating system. Solid Sands provides C and C++ compiler and library testing, validation and safety services. Beningo provides consulting, design and training services.
