The facility turned out its first production batch of AMOLED flexible displays on Monday, June 4th, and the company said it has partnerships across multiple industries to introduce products both for other businesses and for consumers. The company did not state what size or sizes of display it is producing.
At full capacity, the Shenzhen campus will be able to produce more than 50 million flexible display units per year, the company said.
Flexible AMOLED technology is divided into three types: flat, curved, and fully flexible. Royole's mass production facility is capable of producing all three. Additionally, unlike fixed curved displays, Royole's fully flexible displays can be bent, folded, and curled.

Royole's AMOLED displays include such features as being extremely thin at 0.01mm, bendable with a bending radius down to 1mm, lightweight and shatterproof. Royole provides IP licenses, services, and, mass production for flexible electronics applications. The capital expense budget for the flexible display production campus in Shenzhen, China is $1.7 billion.
