Intel Core m3-based hackable computer comes pre-installed with Windows 10
Delivered with pre-installed Windows 10 and compatible with Linux, the LattePanda Alpha is what the startup claims to be the world’s most powerful hackable device, offering the soul of a MacBook within the palm of your hand while supporting the arduino IDE and software library, compatible with all Arduino sensors and actuators.
Priced at USD269, the LattePanda Alpha Edition uses the same Intel 7th generation Core m3 processor as the latest MacBook. It also integrates an Arduino Compatible coprocessor to support the access of thousands of sensors and controllers and 40 pairs of interfaces integrated on the board for easy design expansion. The boards also support 2.4G/5G WiFi, Bluetooth V4.2 and Gigabit Ethernet with a remote wake-up function.
A streaming cable allows Windows-enabled LattePanda devices to work as a USB on a Mac or Linux system, letting users perform cross-platform development for their application.
While the Alpha version is powered by Intel 7th Gen Core m3-7Y30, the Delta version (starting from USD129 on Kickstarter) is powered by the Intel 8th Celeron N4100, achieving CPU benchmarks of 3539 and 1795+, respectively. With 8GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM, the LattePanda Alpha packs twice as much memory as the Delta version.
Software includes AI and IoT developer kits for students to explore these advanced technologies in an easy, user-friendly way.
