The 2x2x0.72mm device measures extremely small pressure differences of ±1 Pa, which makes it capable of detecting altitude changes of less than 5cm. The sensor offers a full pressure operating range of 30 to 110 kPa, and ensures excellent temperature stability with a temperature coefficient of ±0.5 Pa per degree Celsius. The pressure sensor has an embedded temperature sensor and a 400kHz I 2C bus for communication. In addition to the device’s low-power mode of 1.3μA at a noise of 3.2Pa, the ICP-10100 features a low-noise mode of 0.8Pa while only consuming 5.2μA for high-performance applications. It comes in an IPX8-rated housing, making it waterproof to a depth of 1.5 m for up to 30 minutes.
