Probe adds E and H field testing

Wavecontrol in Barcelona has developed unique field probe for the measurement of electric and magnetic fields that integrates both E & H sensors in only 3 cm².

The new WP400-3 field probe supports IEC-EN 62822 for welding equipment and IEC-EN 62233 compliant testing but does not replace the existing 100 cm² WP400 field probe in tests.

What makes it unique is that Wavecontrol has managed to add an E field sensor in a basic structure of a classical 3 cm² field probe. This makes it possible to obtain a 3 cm² field probe without compromising the capability of assessing E and H fields of the WP400.

The WP400-3 has been specifically designed to comply with the requirements of IEC-EN 62822 for electric welding equipment and the assessment of restrictions related to human exposure to electromagnetic fields from 0 Hz to 300 GHz. As well as IEC-EN 62233 which covers measurement methods for electromagnetic fields of household appliances and similar apparatus with regard to human exposure.
