Real-time oscilloscopes tap into terabit validation

Keysight Technologies has introduced the Infiniium UXR series, a family of oscilloscopes that support terabit research with real-time bandwidth up to 110 GHz, the industry's highest sampling rate (256 GSa/s) and highest signal integrity (lowest noise and jitter). The company is thus responding to the unbroken trend towards higher data volumes and speeds in the digital world.

The Infiniium UXR Series offers sophisticated features that enable researchers to accelerate the time-to-market of PAM-4, 5G and optical solutions by ensuring that the signals are clearer, the eye plots open and the results accurate. In addition, the Infiniium UXR series in conjunction with the new optical modulation analyzer frontend, which supports up to 110 GHz, and the VSA-based optical modulation software will become an end-to-end solution for optical research.

The Keysight Infiniium UXR series offers

  • 10-bit resolution and industry-leading signal integrity enable users to achieve a very high effective number of bits (ENOB) when characterizing progressively complex modulation standards,
  • four full bandwidth channels to reduce timing errors when working with coherent dual polarization modulation
  • full self-calibration for continuously high measurement accuracy without the need to shut down the instrument
  • a chipset based on Keysight's proprietary Indium Phosphide (InP) process, which enables an exceptionally wide bandwidth and an extremely low noise level
