1-kW industrial quality DC/DC converter offers convection cooling
The devices comply with EN/UL 60950 and equivalent industrial safety standards. A railway grade version that meets EN 50155 is also available.
The 1 kW converters contain two internal modules, each capable of generating 500 W (minimum). The design has inherent redundancy which ensures that the unit remains functional at 500 W if one internal module fails. A dual output version with two independent, fully regulated outputs of 500 W each is also possible. Several units may be connected in parallel if output power higher than 1 kW is required.
The BAP 1K-U7712 units operate from inputs of 48 V, 72 V, 110 V, 125 V or 250 Vdc (± 15%) and provide tightly regulated outputs of 24 V, 48 V, 110 V or 125 Vdc. Other input/output values are available on request. The converters meet EMI requirements of EN 55022 Class A. Efficiency is 85% (minimum), depending on the input/output configuration. Protection features include 2250 Vdc input/output isolation, overload, over-voltage and short circuit protection with thermal shutdown and self-resetting. A module fail alarm (Form C) and remote shutdown are available as options.
Other options include conformal coating, heavy ruggedizing and extended temperature ranges.
Standard versions of the BAP 1K-U7712 series are priced in the $720 range at quantities of 100.
