10-W TRIAC-dimmable LED driver supports various residential dimmers
The PDA010N Series LED drivers provide energy efficient, flicker- and shimmer-free performance for a broad range of residential LED fixtures, including indoor and outdoor fixtures, downlights, and architectural lighting. The new series is also compatible with most leading edge, trailing edge, and smart dimmer technologies.
Rated for 10 W output power, PDA010N Series LED drivers are available with three constant current outputs (350 mA, 700 mA, and 1000 mA), and are designed to operate using 108–132 VAC and =0.25 A input power to deliver 78% efficiency at 120 VAC with power factor correction of =0.9 and total harmonic distortion (THD) of less than 20%.
By working with more dimmers, including TRIAC dimmers, which are the most popular residential light dimming control, the LED drivers provide enhanced application flexibility, allowing lighting engineers to easily and effectively integrate an array of dimming technologies in their lighting projects.
Compatible dimmers tested for the series include: Lutron Diva, Skylark, Nova, Glyder, Maestro, and RadioRA2 dimmers, in addition to a variety of rotary and slide dimmers.
Covered by a three-year warranty, PDA010N Series LED drivers are water- and dustproof per IP67; feature over-voltage, over-current, overload, and short-circuit protection; and are certified to UL8750 Class 2 per UL1310 safety specifications. Exhibiting both high performance and energy efficiency standards, the series is also approved for use in Energy Star products, and qualifies for a variety of state energy department and utility company rebates.
PDA010N Series LED drivers measure 80 mm x 78 mm x 25.4 mm and weigh 165g (5.82oz). Operating temperatures for the series span 0°C to +85°C, and pricing for single unit quantities starts at under $20 through Phihong distributors.
