
145W battery pack is largest allowed on aircraft
The $599 Omni Ultimate power pack is being funded ia crowdsourcing site Indiegogo. It uses 12 UL certified 18650 lithium battery cells with a capacity of 40,300 mAh and a 150W DC output that has adjustable voltage and amperage, monitored in real time via an OLED display along with temperature and remaining capacity. It has a 120Hz AC output along with a USB-C port and two Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 USB ports and can charge in three hours.
It is aimed at powering laptops, LED lights, TVs, cameras, drones, medical equipment and more.
“We wanted to take portable power to the next level for today’s on-the-go professional,” said Jason Wong, CEO of Los Angelese-based Omnicharge. “As devices become more powerful, they require a higher capacity battery strength and that’s what we’ve developed with the Omni Ultimate.
