1A, single-chip load switch ICs minimise quiescent power
Fabricated using a Toshiba CMOS process that combines an output transistor and an output driver, the new single-chip IC load switches provide a smaller footprint than switches composed of multiple discrete components. The TCK106AF, TCK107AF and TCK108AF have integrated slew rate control drivers and low on-resistance P-ch MOSFETs and N-ch MOSFETs, to reduce system power consumption by control of power supply distribution or for each function block. Each is rated to carry up to 1A, and has a maximum supply voltage of 5.5V. Additional features across the three types include inrush current reduction, output discharge, and active-low operation. The products allow for low-leakage load switching, while maintaining a low on-resistance. All three ICs are housed in a general-purpose SOT-package measuring 2.9 × 2.8 x 1.1 mm.
