The TGA2598 from TriQuint is the optimum driver for higher power GaN devices serving radar and communication applications. It provides up to 21 dB of small signal gain. Power added efficiency is rated at 31%. The TGA2598 is compatible with GaN HPA bias requirements, operating at 100 mA from a 25 V bias.
