20W industrial DC-DC converter has 12:1 ultra-wide input voltage
Traco Power has launched two series of DC-DC converter with a wide input range of 12:1.
The THN 15UIR and THN 20UIR DC-DC converter series have an output of 15W and 20W with the 12:1 input in a fully encapsulated 1x1in 16pin dual in line (DIP) package.
Dedicated holdup capacitor connections mean the THN 15UIR and THN 20UIR meet extended holdup-time requirements without the need for bulky input capacitors and reinforced 3000VAC I/O isolation as well as a remote on/off and trim function.
The devices are EN 50155 certified for rolling stock applications as well as EN 61373 certified for mechanical shock and vibration and EN 45545-2 certified for fire behaviour.
The DC-DC converter series come with IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 safety approvals for use in a wide range of demanding industrial applications in space constrained environments, operating across temperatures of –40°C up to +70°C with natural convection cooling without derating. There is also protection against short-circuit (SCP), overvoltage (OVP) and overtemperature (OTP) and a three year product warranty.
