PULS Power has launched a DIN-Rail power supply with a remote-controlled ON/OFF feature. This allows system administrators and building automation controllers to switch the power supply on or off by use of an external signal switch or transistor gate. This remote-control feature makes centralised control of multiple system components very simple to implement and provides a very efficient shut-down facility in the event of system failure or emergency.

The CP20.241-V1 is part of the DIMENSION CP series aimed at designers and systems integrators requiring powerful and space-saving DIN rail power supplies.

The width of 48mm is made possible due to its efficiency of 95.6%. The devices have been optimised not only for high peak efficiency at full load but also provides efficiencies with partial loads. The units can achieve a service lifetime of at least 94,000 hours at +40°C ambient temperature, 100% load and 230VAC input.

The CP-20 also include a power reserve of 20% (up to +45°C continuously and between +45°C and +60°C short-term), a small input inrush current, full output power between -25°C and +60°C (with derating up to +70°C) as well as high immunity to transients. The DIN-Rail power supplies include, industrial and process control, building automation, panel-building, test and measurement, instrumentation and communications systems. Versions are available approved for railway systems and ruggedised for harsh environments.

Key specifications of the PULS CP20.241-V1 include input voltage 100-240VAC and 110V-150VDC, active power factor correction (PFC), output 24-28VDC at 480W, current sharing feature for parallel operation, safe HiccupPLUS overload protection mode, easy breaking fuse at 3 times nominal current for 12ms, remote shut-down, DC-OK relay contact and dimensions of 48 x 124 x 127mm.

“Industrial and building automation is a high growth area with Industry 4.0 being implemented ever more widely,“ said Marco van der Linden, UK Country manager for PULS.” Providing the ability to control the output of our new DIN-Rail power supply from a remote location or autonomous AI system will be of great advantage to systems integrators.”
