Schurter has developed a compact double stage filter for three phase power lines with a neutral line
The FMBD EP double-stage filter family is aimed at industrial machines and plant construction across a wide range of voltages.
The standard filter can be used over a wide temperature range from -40 °C to 100 °C with currents from 16 A to 230 A at an ambient temperature of 50 °C for applications up to 520 VAC or even 760 VAC. The standard versions are designed for industrial applications with leakage currents <4 mA. Special variants with leakage currents <1 mA are available for critical applications.
The FMBD EP filter has been re-designed from the ground up to reduce the size with a cuboid design of 121 x 130 x 91mm for optimum use of the space in the housing. The double-stage filter and generously dimensioned film capacitors and chokes with highly permeable cores provides higher broadband filter attenuation than the previous filter families.
The double-stage filter family is also appropriate for applications with particularly high EMC emissions such as machines and systems for automatic production, motor drives and industrial plant machinery.
The FMBD EP series features screw terminals for safe wiring. A metal flange provides the earth connection when screwed to the chassis and the filters have both ENEC and cURus approval
