30kV TVS diode arrays prevent ESD damage
Zener diodes fabricated using a proprietary silicon avalanche technology protect each I/O pin to provide a high level of protection against ESD. These robust general-purpose diodes can safely absorb repetitive ESD strikes at ±30kV (contact discharge, IEC 61000-4-2) without performance degradation. Additionally, each diode can safely dissipate 5A of 8/20μs surge current (IEC61000-4-5) with very low clamping voltages. Applications for the SP1026 Series include protection of mobile phones, smart phones, smart watches, tablets, portable navigation devices, and portable medical devices. Delivered in a μDFN-2 (0201) package, the ESD protection solution has a 0.60×0.30mm footprint to save PCB space and reduce costs. Low dynamic resistance (1.4Ω) supports the low clamping voltages needed for protecting modern electronics filled with small-geometry ICs.
