30W DC-DC converter encapsulated in 25.4×25.4x 10.1mm metal-shielded package
At 25g, the DC-DC converter is barely half the weight of its predecessor, yet it delivers a high power density of 75W/in3. The MJWI30 gives designers the flexibility to match the choice of converter to specific application requirements. Operating over wide 4:1 input voltage ranges of 9V-36V DC or 18V-75V DC, the product is available in versions with a fixed single output voltage of 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V or 24V DC, or a dual output of ±12V or ±15V DC. Output voltage can be trimmed to ±10% of its nominal value.
The MJWI30 boasts a conversion efficiency of up to 90% and low ripple and noise of 75mVp-p, it operates over the -40 to +80°C temperature range. The module is certified compliant with EN61000-4-2/-3/-4/-5/-6/-8 to class A. Achieving compliance with EN55032 class A and B only requires the addition of a few external passive components. Isolation of 1.5kV protects sensitive circuitry from noise, and supports use in safety-critical applications. Typical start-up time of 20ms helps designers to eliminate the risk of system timing failures.
