3D electromagnetic motion tracking sensor, only 6x6x2mm for VR
The 3DV06 Series features a fully magnetically isotropic 3DCoil trimmed for VR devices and has been designed with a fully protected LDS metallized housing that makes the external 7x7mm footprint. The unit includes three identical axis of 1mH at 20kHz and aims to compete with IMU (Inertial Measurement Units) which have several disadvantages solved by 3D electromagnetic tracking. When combined with Premo’s 3DcoilCube emitter antennas for VR, it can be read from 8 meters. The 3DV06 Series has been specially engineered to offer the best performance with Sixsense STEM technology and NDI (Northern Digital Inc.) 3D VR Immersive systems and is delivered in tape & reel for SMT pick & place. The sensor has been engineered to be RoHS and REACH compliant, it can be used in VR gloves, motion capture clothing, AR/VR pointers for tools or in medical devices for training purposes, etc.
