Offered as an affordable, user-friendly, high-quality desktop 3D printer designed for “newbies, hobbyists and professionals alike,” the Cubibot has already raised over $500,000 of its $50,000 goal. A CubiOne entry-level version is available for $149, while the more fully featured Cubibot is available for an extended early bird pledge of $249.

“We’ve been developing and tweaking our Cubibot 3D printer over the past couple of years, and have been thrilled at the reaction Cubibot has been receiving at industry events,” says Sina Noorazar, CDO, Cubibot LLC. “And now we’re excited to make easy, affordable and high-quality 3D printing available to consumers everywhere via our Kickstarter campaign.”

The Cubibot offers a variety of features:

  • Fully automated smart self-leveling build platform
  • Filtered ventilation
  • Wi-Fi enabled
  • Heated print bed to handle a wide range of materials
  • Cloud printing capabilities with cloud-side slicing engine
  • Plug-n-Print functionality
  • Prints in PLA, specialty PLA, ABS, Nylon, and more
  • High-temperature nozzle allows printing with more advanced materials
  • Smart status notification
  • Easily accessible web-based platform
  • Modern design with interchangeable Cubisides in vibrant colors
  • Desktop apps for Windows, Mac and Linux
  • Mobile apps for Android and iOS.

The Cubibot prints in resolutions of between 50 and 300 microns, with print speeds of up to 80 millimeters per second. It measures 10″ x 10″ x 10″, with a 5″ x 5″ x 5″ print volume.

“Our Cubibot 3D printer represents a giant leap forward in affordable, plug-and-play 3D printing at a price point that anyone can afford,” says Aria Noorazar, CTO, Cubibot, LLC. “And with easy set-up and configuration, those with no prior 3D printing experience can be creating their first 3D prints in no time at all. The features-for-price ratio is unlike anything the industry has seen to date, and the quality of our Cubibot prints need to be seen to be believed.”

Pre-orders are currently available at the Cubibot Kickstarter campaign until October 26. Initial units are expected to begin shipping in the first quarter of 2018.
