3W colour LEDs target premium lighting

The new series uses the company’s proprietary vertical chip technology. The company plans to mass produce three colour types (Red, Green and Royal blue) LED packages rated at 3W, starting next month.
LG Innotek also plans to increase the power of its colour LEDs from 3W to 8W by the end of this year. In addition to the red, green and blue lights, the company will produce lights of various colours, including amber and products for special purposes such as agriculture and horticulture that require wavelengths between 450nm and 740nm.
