This switch is remotely controlled via Ethernet or RS-232, and it utilizes the company’s 3.X.X firmware command set, which expands functionality for Ethernet and RS-232 control. Some key features offered by 3.X.X firmware include DHCP capability; multi-threaded code – enabling multiple users to operate and not block each other’s access; the ability to set Ethernet properties and RS-232 baud rate using a keypad on the front panel; simultaneous operation of the Ethernet port, RS-232 port and keypad; and support for up to 12 simultaneous Ethernet connections to the test system.

All unused input and output ports are self-terminating at 50 Ohms, and the current IP settings and serial baud rate are displayed on the front panel which can be updated using the keypad.
