The quad core CPU increases computing power, and FPGA coprocessors and GPU deliver advanced image processing, both beyond the capabilities of conventional smart cameras. Rich software support and API compatibility further enable easy migration from original platforms, making it simple for system integrators to fulfill a variety of inspection application needs. With FPGA coprocessor support, the NEON-1040 accelerates image pre-processing, including LUT (look up table) and ROI (region of interest), and shading correction, thereby reducing CPU loading and enabling complex acquisition at high speeds.
Flexible software development support includes GeniCAM, GenTL support for image acquisition, and Open CV and Open CL programming. The whole unit measures 68.5x110x52.7mm, housed in a sturdy, dust-proof, washable IP-67-rated casing with M12 connectors
