The EVD500 DC/DC converters have two input ranges, 30 to 65Vdc and 50 to 130Vdc, with output voltages of 13.5, 14.2 or 27.5Vdc to power auxiliary EV functions such as lights, instruments, accessories, etc. In addition, unlike most DC/DC converters in the EV market, the EVD500 has a constant current function, so it can connect directly to a battery load. The EVD 500 also has superior low battery conservation with a quiescent current draw of less than 30uA.

The EVD500 is fully isolated input to output and protected by over voltage protection, short circuit protection, input reverse polarity protection and over temperature protection. Efficiencies for the EVD500 run as high as 93% and the unit features a metal baseplate for excellent heat transfer to a metal mounting surface. All models are housed in an IP66 enclosure for protection against water intrusion. Multiple EVD500 converters can be wired in parallel with no external circuitry required to obtain up to 5,000 Watts. All models feature Remote ON/OFF and are ROHS compliant.

Line and Load Regulation for the EVD500 is 1% and 7% respectively. Output ripple and noise is 100mV peak to peak typical. Load transient response is 10ms and start up and rise time is 500ms. Each EVD 500 weighs 1.25kg and measures 190.0×76.0x43.5mm, it can withstand 8Gs in x, y and z axis from 0 to 200Hz for one minute.
