500W Intel Haswell ready ATX PC power supply is medically approved
Compared to the prior generation Ivy Bridge platform, the Haswell platform substantially cuts the minimum sleep power consumption by one order of magnitude from 6W to 0.6W. Incompatible power supplies may require a hard reset when there is a substantial load on the non-primary rails (+3.3V and +5V) causing the +12V to go out of specification during the C6 and C7 sleep states.
If the +12V is out of specification when the system comes out of its sleep state, the power supply unit’s protection may prevent it from functioning normally. However, the TMPC-500H fully supports these C6 and C7 power saving sleep states which reduce the CPU power consumption to 0.05A without triggering the under-voltage protection and without forcing the system to reset.
With its 90-264 VAC universal input and active PFC, the Haswell ready TMPC-500H can be used worldwide without the necessity of changing input settings. Its 87% to 90% efficiency meets 80 Plus Gold standard.
The power supply is approved to ANSI/AMMI ES 60601-1: 2005, CSA C22.2 No. 60601-1:08 and IEC/EN 60601-1 3rd edition medical standards by UL and TUV. It complies with IEC/EN 60601-1-2 EMC and immunity standards, including EN 55011, EN 55022, FCC & VCCI Class B conducted and radiated EMI, EN 61000-3-2/3, and EN 61000-4-2/3/4/5/6/8/11.
The BF rated power supply provides 2 MOPP between input and output, and 1 MOPP between input and ground. Earth leakage current is 150µA @ 264 VAC, 63 Hz.
Meeting ATX12V standards, the TMPC-500H comes with DC voltage outputs and maximum loads of +3.3V/24A, +5V/20A, triple +12V/16A, -12V/0.5A, +5Vsb/3A, -5V/0.2A respectively.
The TMPC-500H has a built-in, thermally controlled ball-bearing fan with noise-killer. Other key features include short-circuit protection, overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, over-temperature protection, low ripple and noise, 0ºC to 50ºC operating temperature, and 5,000 meters maximum operating altitude.
