The device’s transmit chain features +30 dBm output and the receive chain features a low-noise amplifier (LNA) with a 1.3 dB noise figure. The module delivers 30.5 dBm Pout at 400-500 MHz to enable more than 4x the range versus standalone system-on-chip (SoC) solutions and covers multiple unlicensed bands. It also has a fast switch on/off (under 4 usec in receive mode and under 2 usec in transmit mode) that provides rapid timing and multi-protocol arbitration. The module also boasts a high-efficiency power amplifier for longer battery life and comes in a small footprint with MCM (28-pin 6.0×6.0mm) surface mount technology packaging.
