The Omron Human Vision Component (HVC) is a module that integrates ten key image sensing functions with a camera in a 60x40mm footprint. Developers can detect a human face, hand or body, and implement face recognition, gender detection, age estimation, mood estimation, facial pose estimation, gaze estimation, and blink estimation. The module simply returns a value and a degree of certainty, so all developers need do is configure the system response appropriately for each individual application.
