The GS6042 supports 6G UHD-SDI data rates with best-in-class cable reach at 3G, HD and SD data-rates. In order to facilitate a simple transition from existing 3G board designs, the GS6042 is also footprint compatible with Semtech’s existing GS3440 long reach equalizer.
The GS6080 is claimed to be the industry’s first 6G UHD-SDI cable driver and in conjunction with the GS6042 equalizer, forms what Semtech claims to be the industry’s best performing solution for 6G UHD-SDI connectivity. The GS6081 features dual 6G-UHD-SDI outputs. The chips operate in the -40 to +85°C temperature range.
