The panels come with a low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) interface, reducing production costs by exempting the need for customers to change the interface depending on resolution. Other features include a long service life and an inverter-less backlight realized by using white light emitting diodes (LED). At a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, the LED backlight has a typical operating life of 100,000 hours. The TFT-LCD modules are compatible with Mitsubishi Electric’s existing models (8.4-inch VGA: AA084VG01, 10.4-inch VGA: AA104VH02) in terms of dimensions (width and height) and the location of mounting holes, which means the existing model can be replaced easily and at low cost.
