The RF5836 integrates a power amplifier (PA), single-pole double-throw switch (SP2T), and a power detector coupler for improved accuracy. The device is provided in a 3-mm x 3-mm x 0.5-mm, 16-pin package. This module meets or exceeds the RF front end needs of IEEE 802.11a/n WiFi RF systems.

The module requires single supply voltage of 3.0 V to 4.8 V and features a low control voltage of >1.6 V. Output power is 15.5 dBm for 11a, 54 Mbps at 4% EVM and 14.5 dBm for 11n, 65 Mbps at 2.8% EVM. The low-height package is ideal for SiP and CoB designs.

Typical applications include cellular handsets, mobile devices, tablets, consumer electronics, gaming, netbooks/notebooks, and TV/video.
