Accelerometers for vibration measurements & wireless condition monitoring
This performance comes with very low power consumption, suiting the ADXL356 and ADXL357 to wireless sensor networks. The accelerometers are also designed to provide accurate and reliable tilt measurements for environments high in shock and vibration without saturating the sensor, an important requirement for tilt measurement applications on heavy equipment or airborne platforms such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The analogue output ADXL356 and the digital output ADXL357 three-axis accelerometers provide selectable measurement ranges of ±10g, ±20g and ±40g. The ADXL356 and ADXL357 also offer noise density of 80 µg/√Hz, with guaranteed maximum 0g offset drift over temperature of 0.75 mg/C, enabling precision applications with minimal calibration. The hermetic package helps ensure that the end product maintains repeatability and stability. The ADXL357 requires only 200 µA.
In a 14 lead 6 x 6 mm LCC package, the ADXL356 is priced at $28.60 and the digital (SPI/I²C) output ADXL357 at $31.78 (both 1000).
