The device operates with a supply voltage as low as 1.71V for minimum power consumption. It includes a sensing element and an IC interface that provides the measured angular rate to the external world through a digital interface (I2C/SPI).

The IC has a full scale of ±31.25/±62.50/±125/±250/±500/±1k/±2k degrees per second (dps) and measures rates with a finely tunable user-selectable bandwidth. The low short-time bias instability, the high stability over temperature, and the operational flexibility make the IC suitable for in-dash navigation systems.

The IC is a highly integrated solution available in a compact 3mm x 3mm x 0.9mm plastic land grid array (LGA) package and does not require any external components other than supply bypass capacitors. It can operate over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.

Features include;

  1. Small and thin package (3 x 3 x 0.9 mm LGA), no external components;
  2. Ultra-stable over temperature and time;
  3. Factory calibrated automatic temperature compensation;
  4. Low bias instability;
  5. Embedded digital-output temperature sensor;
  6. Supply voltage range of 1.71V to 3.6V;
  7. Integrated digitally programmable low- and highpass filters;
  8. Operating current of 6.1mA typical;
  9. High-Shock Survivability (10,000 G-Shock);
  10. AEC-Q100 Qualification.

Use it in appliances and robotics, in-dash car navigation systems and in motion control with man-machine interface.
