Hardware in Qualcomm’s PMI8998 power management chip (PMIC) in the Snapdragon 835 chipset accelerates Qnovo’s algorithms that manage fast charging of lithium ion batteries. This has allowed Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4 charging technology to provide safe charging and higher performance batteries.
Qnovo’s QNI software doubles battery lifespan to two years over traditional charging approaches by using a real time closed loop control algorithm. Its Adaptive Pulse Modulation injects charge packets both to measure a cell’s health and to adaptively modify its charging parameters.

Qnovo QNI adaptive charging software is currently available for Android-based Snapdragon 835 designs.
