Advanced silicone optics boost exterior LED luminaire performance
The moulded silicone optics offer performance improvements which include a 70% increase in output (up to 8700 delivered lumens) and enhanced efficiency of 120 lumens per watt. Lifetime has also increased to 125 000 hours.
With thermal and moisture resistant properties, the silicone optical system also enhances reliability and protects against the elements. This makes it ideal for outdoor applications subject to extreme weather conditions.
The improved optics will be included immediately in Scirocco SR135 and Argon AR25, AR35 models. The Argon family is a range of contemporary exterior pole or wall-mounted luminaires, while Scirocco is a comprehensive range of exterior luminaires with pole, wall or pendant versions. Both families feature a double hinged sealed mechanism for easy maintenance.
Luminis had previously added the optical system to the company’s MayaLED range.
