Advantech launches AMD-based Edge AI systems
Advantech has introduced the AIR series Edge AI systems, powered by the comprehensive AMD compute portfolio.
For demanding Edge AI applications, these next-generation systems leverage AMD Ryzen™ and EPYC™ processors alongside Instinct™ MI210 accelerators and Radeon™ PRO GPU.

The AIR-410 and AIR-420 systems harness the power of AMD Ryzen™ 7000/8000 series and EPYC™ 8004 processors, paired with expandable Radeon™ Pro W7800 and W7900 GPUs, to deliver unparalleled AI computing capabilities. Designed for vision AI, real-time analytics, and large-scale model processing (SLM/LLM), these systems empower businesses to deploy AI applications with enhanced speed, efficiency, and scalability. Optimised for AI inferencing and fine-tuning at the edge, they offer high-speed AI processing with reduced latency. Ideal for vision-based AI or large language models (LLMs), AMD’s complete compute ecosystem ensures optimal performance, stability, and energy efficiency.
The AIR-410 is based on the AMD Ryzen 8040 series processor, which delivers 39TOPS AI computing (CPU+iGPU+iNPU). The system features dual channel memory up to 96GB DDR5 specified to 5600 MT/s, a built-in 850 W power supply and one PCIe x16 slot to support a 550 W GPU. Support includes an SDK AI toolkit. The AIR-410 is OS Windows 11 LTSC and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS compatible.
