EPC-U2117 features a dual display output, multiple I/O, and a wide power input range of 12-24V DC. The mini embedded computer can run both Microsoft Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, and Linux OS. Advantech’s WISE-PaaS DeviceOn intelligent software is also installed to assist remote system monitoring and management.

EPC-U2117 is available in a 170 x 117 x 52.6mm metal chassis that can be mounted, placed on a wall or DIN-Rail or used as a desktop PC. The top extruded aluminium passive heatsink thermal solution allows the device to operate between -20 to 60 °C. Two expansion slots allow for customisation. One is an M.2 to integrate Wi-Fi or a GPU module. The device also has a full-size Mini PCIe for 3G/LTE connection or mSATA storage. 4 antenna apertures support wireless connection.

The embedded computer offers multiple connectivity options including RS-232 and ccTalk. The COM port can be customised to MDB and RS-422/485 for device control and payment devices. Four USB 3.0 ports, one audio jack, dual gigabit LAN ports and CANBus complete the I/O options.

Multiple storage options are also available, including onboard eMMC up to 128GB, mSATA, and 2.5” SSD/HDD for flexible storage options. The operating system and key data in can be stored in the MMC for security protection and reliability.
