The SKYA21001 from Skyworks Solutions was developed for in-vehicle telematics and infotainment applications. However, RFMW is finding that defence and aerospace companies have adopted the switch as a low cost alternative to semi-custom and upgraded products. Covering a frequency range of 20 MHz to 3 GHz, the SKYA21001 is suitable for military communication systems. Low insertion loss of 0.3 dB improves system performance while low DC power consumption helps maintain battery life in portable systems. In a 2.0 x 1.25 mm SC-70 package, this Skyworks switch is lead-free and RoHS compliant.
