Agile teams with Silex for security IP
The company’s have agreed to market jointly combined analog and digital IP for enhanced security for ASIC and SoC developments.
At the heart of Agile Analog’s business is a technology called Compasa, which generates configurable analog IP optimized to a customer’s specification within weeks – for any foundry and node – the company claims.
Agile Analog has developed cores for data conversion, power management and sensing. It also provides cores that guard against SCAs and tampering through an array of configurable sensors that detect temperature shocks; supply voltage changes/glitches; and clock manipulation.
Silex offers digital security IP cores for such thigs as root-of-trust, secure boot and the management of authenticated software, device authentication, cryptographic acceleration, and generation and storage of secure keys and secret information.
Combined offerings from Agile Analog and Silex Insight can be tuned to each specific solution, offering advanced security and protection. Jointly developed mixed-signal systems will give chip manufacturers superior results in terms of the product of power, speed, area, Agile said.
The companies said they will collaborate to provide integrated analog and digital solutions for customers building ASICs or SoCs.
“The combination of Agile Analog and Silex Insight is going to bring a high-level security capability to SoCs for any process node. Like Agile Analog, our mission is to give customers IP which perfectly fits their specification, and which offers outstanding quality, so that it is easy to implement right through to tape-out,” said Michel Van Maercke, CEO of Silex Insight, in a statement issued by Agile Analog.
Agile and Silex Insight have delivered combined solutions to several customers, and more are in the pipeline.
Agile had a partnership on cybersecurity with UltraSoC Ltd. UltraSoC was sold to Siemens in 2020 (see Siemens takes over UK chip-level analytics expert UltraSoC).
