AI and ML introduced into safety-critical software test automation

In the release, Parasoft has used a new approach to speed software code analysis findings and increase productivity, allowing teams to achieve industry compliance standards easily.

  • Version (2020.1) increases structural coverage from unit testing through advanced code analysis for C/C++ and Java. This reduces the burden of testing efforts needed for standards such as ISO 26262, DO-178B/C, IEC 62304 and IEC 61508.

  • A new application of AI/Machine Learning helps the adoption of Static Analysis.

  • Expanded coverage for updated security standards, AUTOSAR C++14 and MISRA C 2012 Amendment 2.

  • New integrations with Polarion, codeBeamer, and Jira, for enhanced requirements traceability. The bi-directional data exchange bridges the gap between requirements and the tests that validate them, to offer full traceability down to the code being developed.

With industry-standard prerequisites to establish traceability of software requirements to test cases, Parasoft has built integrations with some of the most popular ALM solutions. The integrations establish traceability from software requirements to test cases.
