AI brings indoor tracking, motion and vital sign detection to mesh routers
TRM™ technology enables motion detection, home security, well-being monitoring, human breathing monitoring, and fall-down detection, all without wearables and cameras, to effectively enhance mesh as the network platform of choice for smart homes. Unlike competing smart home technologies, TRM™ does not require special purpose-built devices or complicated installation and calibration, and has very low complexity and low latency.
Devices with Origin’s TRM™ can connect with home automation services for a truly automated smart home and the technology can be effectively combined with a mesh network based on the Qualcomm® Mesh Networking Platform. TRM™ can further be used to achieve infrastructure-free, high precision and robust indoor location and tracking, especially in non-line-of-sight situations.
“With our TRM™ technology, we are able to leverage the multipaths in wireless signal propagation as virtual antennas/sensors to monitor the environment and offer a revolutionary radio analytic AI platform to enable smart radios for smart life™,” said Dr. Ray Liu, Founder and CEO of Origin Wireless™ Inc. “Having the Qualcomm® Mesh Networking Platform as the foundational, synergetic connectivity enables our system to greatly expand beyond home-security to a vast variety of sophisticated indoor-monitoring and smart home solutions for our smart customers, including vital sign detection, positioning, and tracking.”
