Aluminium cased 3D industrial sensor enables three-dimensional robotic tasks
The housing is completely waterproof and the sensor is therefore applicable in all industrial environments. The Industrial 3D-Eye opens up new possibilities in the range of robotics: amongst others in the range of palletization and depalletization but also in sorting components on assembly lines. The expanded EyeVision system opens up new application ranges of robot control by the combination of a depth sensor and a normal camera, facilitating the grasp of objects. The altitude images as well as the grey images of the camera are available via high-capacity algorithms from the EyeVision 3D software. Robots equipped with the Industrial 3D-Eye can immediately access all data of an object like for example its spatial position and its size. The unit supports all the usual image processing tasks such as bar code reading, optical character recognition or measurement tasks.
