There eight pieces of analog intellectual property initially that include a variety of analog-to-digital converters, digital-to-analog converters, voltage references and current references. These designs can be reworked to tailor them to match particular applications and further data converters and phase locked loop circuits are under development by Hexius for introduction later in 2017, On Semi said.
The ONC18 process has dual voltage 1.8 V/3.3 V dual-gate I/O and is 5V tolerant on I/O. It also serves as a platform for high voltage mixed-signal processes suitable for some automotive, industrial, medical, and defense applications. On Semi’s custom foundry business unit is building up a portfolio of qualified IP that supports this process so that customers will be able to benefit from ASIC implementations that are optimized for their specific requirements, without needing to allocate too much of their own engineering resources to the task.
