The Max31889 is for cold supply chain assets and the Max31825 reduces complexity of using multiple temperature sensors for consumer and factory automation.

The Max31889 delivers a precision of ±0.25-degree Celsius accuracy across a wide temperature range and measures cold-chain pharma product temperatures and comes in a 6-pin microDFN package.

The Max31825 allows up to 64 devices, all connected to the same parasitically powered 1-Wire bus, with the precision of ±1-degree Celsius accuracy. Each device has a unique code which can be optionally programmed with a location address, simplifying system design. The comes in a 6-bump WLP and has standby current of 2.5microamps.

The Max31889 is priced at $1.65 per unit in 1,000-up quantities. The Max31825 is priced at $1.55 in 1,000-up quantities. Both components have evaluation boards priced at $56.
