Annular luminaires allow flexible combination
The combination of ring-shaped luminaires with different wavelengths makes it possible to switch back and forth between different colours. Customers thus benefit in that they can chose from multiple configuration options and achieve the optimal solution for their specific application. This enables them to quickly select the best illumination in particular during the test phase of an equipment, doing away with cost and time for special designs. 22 different nominal wavelengths are available along with a comprehensive set of add-ons such as adapter rings, polarizers, Fresnel lenses, diffusers and lens adapters enable users to quickly create solutions for a broad range of industrial applications.
Another interesting application for combining annular lighting devices is the illumination of slants and curvatures. Examples are the inspection of soldering points and printed circuit boards, localizing orientation marks and components in the semiconductor industry, examination of printed markings and / or damages in the plastic parts production and the inspection of crown caps in the beverages industry.
The most important feature of Vision & Controls’ vicolux RK2036, RK3652 and RK5268 series is the compact, space-saving design, with a height of just 12.6 mm and an outer diameter between 71.5 mm and 135.35 mm. The inner diameters are coordinated in such a way that each smaller ring fits into the next bigger one. Despite the slim design, the control electronics are integrated. The luminaires are dimmable and offer triple brightness in pulse mode as well as tenfold brightness in flash mode. The casing is secured against humidity according to IP67.
