The MT8821C is the successor to the MT8820C and enables up to four carriers with MIMO to be generated in a one box solution while retaining code and RF compatibility with MT8820C. The backwards compatibility enables the MT8821C and hence also the joint test solution to immediately support all the commonly used communication standards such as: LTE FDD and TDD including LTE-Advanced, W-CDMA (HSPA, HSPA+), CDMA (EV-DO), TD-SCDMA and GSM (GPRS/EDGE).

The LTE carrier aggregation solution currently supports:

  • DL CA: 2CC and 3CC (4CC planned for future release)
  • UL CA: 2CC

Bluetest’s 5th generation RTS65 reverberation test system and Flow software platform were introduced in April 2015 and introduce a new level of user friendliness, flexibility and innovative solutions to increase lab productivity. The system includes a built-in measurement computer as well as a touch screen interface for easy control and monitoring of the measurements.

“Our joint customers really appreciate the close collaboration between Anritsu and Bluetest that enables them to directly, after the introduction of the new test and measurement products, fully enjoy the strengths of the integrated test solution,” said Bluetest’s product manager Klas Arvidsson.

Anritsu’s wireless specialist Francois Ortolan said: “For us it was obvious that we needed to provide Bluetest with access to the MT8821C to facilitate a smooth migration to the latest technology for OTA testing and that Bluetest also took the opportunity to include support for our 2CC UL CA functionality at the same time.”

The Anritsu MT8821C is also supported by Bluetest’s previous generation of reverberation test system consisting of the RTS60 and Bluetest Measurement Suite.
