Apple about to hit the market with reduced-size iPad, according to Wall Street Journal

The news comes from the firm’s Asian component suppliers who are reportedly preparing for mass production in September of a tablet computer with a screen likely to be smaller than eight inches, compared to the 9.7 inches of today’s iPad. The Wall Street Journal reported in February that Apple was testing such a device but hadn’t yet decided whether to proceed with production.
