Arduino format expansion board for easy sensor design and configuration
The SensorShield-EVK-003 features eight sensor boards with various sensors manufactured by ROHM, including an accelerometer, barometric pressure sensor, geomagnetic sensor and optical heart rate sensor. The shield board facilitates the configuration of a sensor environment by the incorporation of software and only requiring the developer to connect the expansion board to an Arduino Uno or other popular MCU board. This technique allows immediate verification of sensor operation, and makes the design of sensor devices easier.
In shield expansion board and sensors are part of an initiative by ROHM to offer open source platform tools such as the Lazurite series to ease IoT prototyping and initial set development.
