Arm predicts that there will be over a trillion connected devices by 2035 and to cope with this number of connections, advanced device and data management solutions will be required. The company has already started towards a solution in those areas with its Mbed IoT Device Management Platform, which can help developers design, install and manage large scale deployments of connected devices. Arm is now working on the next generation of the platform and the company intends to incorporate Stream’s technology into it.

Stream’s IoT-X platform supports physical connectivity across wireless protocols, including cellular, LoRa and satellite. Devices can then be managed through a single user interface. The technology ensures that data is accessible at the required time and cost for all use cases. The combination of the Arm Mbed IoT Device Management Platform and Stream technology will allow organisations to have a single view of connectivity and device management across all devices, regardless of location or network, for a core-to-cloud IoT platform for connecting, managing, and updating devices that is easily scalable.

Stream was founded in 2000. The company maintains more than 770,000 managed subscribers and 2TB average traffic per day.
