This second design center (the first being based in Bangalore) is expected to attract highly skilled electronics engineers based in North India to support ARM’s leading physical IP division. This division is focused on creating the building blocks for translation of a circuit design into actual silicon.

Almost 9 billion ARM-based chips were shipped in 2012; ARM-based technology is in use in 95% of smartphones, 80% of digital cameras, and 35% of all electronic devices worldwide.
