Arrow and Microsoft team up on IoT solution
Arrow will be hosting a registration drive at Arrow’s stand at the Embedded World exhibition in Nuremberg this week. The first thousand people to register for the “sensor-to-sunset” experience will be gifted a bundle of sensors, software, applications and services from companies, such as SensiEDGE, Microsoft and Arrow. The bundle will enable developers to rapidly explore concepts.
The bundle will contain the IoT sensor node that was developed by SensiEDGE to collect environmental data that is used in typical IoT applications. The sensor node will be supported by Arrow’s Connect mobile app to act as a gateway to www.arrowconnect.io for device management functions. A 30-day trial of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Power BI is also included, as well as an open-source example cloud application for Microsoft Azure to demonstrate how the APIs can be utilised to create applications. The sensor data is used by Microsoft Power BI to create a dashboard.
