The transmit signal is derived from an input VCO signal, which also acts as the LO for the receive mixer. The resulting IF is conditioned for gain and filtering as required. This compact, lightweight design has low power consumption and is ideal for applications such as aircraft & vehicular collision avoidance radar, critical area surveillance and incursion detection systems and traffic management systems.

The PMMW range of modules are designed for passive millimetre-wave imaging (PMMW) applications and provides the unique capability to create high resolution images in low visibility conditions, like through clothing, clouds and fog. Whilst PMMW modules are available up to 345 GHz, a low attenuation atmospheric window from 80-110 GHz exists making “W-Band” an ideal candidate for PMMW systems.
